My Reflection

I have been learning to summarise and record my research in my own words.

I found summarising the information into my own words tricky because I could not think of other words.

Something I learnt was that Volcanoes are named after Vulcan, the Roman god of fire. 

My next step is to learn and study more about Volcanoes.

2014 Netball Field Day

 

My Reflection:

On Monday a cupel of students went to the 2014 Netball Field Day. IT WAS REALLY FUN!!!  The part I really liked was that everyone worked together to achieved goals & have fun. In the end we went back to school. Everyone cheered us on & congratulated  us & everyone was happy. 

Fractions of a set

 

My Reflection

I was learning about Unit fractions and Multiple fractions.  I found this easy because I learnt that unit fractions have a one on the top. e.g. 1/6.  Another thing that helped me was my times-tables, e.g. 1/5 of  30 = 6

30 divided by 5 = 6

Next time I will use them more.

Soccer Field Day

 

My Reflection

On Tuesday a cupel of students went to the 2014 Soccer Field Day. IT WAS REALLY FUN!!! The part I really liked was that everyone worked together to achieved goals.

In the end we finished soccer & we went to Mc Donalds for a treat. That was AWESOME!!!!

This is my pepeha. I added a awa (river), a maunga (mountain), four paina (trees) & a few other things.

I found this a bit tricky because it was a little hard thinking of the Māori designs. Next time I will try to remember some patterns.

Obituary

My Reflection

I was learning to understand the impact of characters in a story.

One thing that  worked for me was sequencing the changes in Jess each chapter 

One thing I could do better was try to make my story more 
interesting 

Overall I think I did well because it was my first time writing an Obituary & I had just learnt what an Obituary was.

I have been learning to draw 

Concentric Circle Art.

In this art you start with 4 - 5 

little circles then you 

start to get bigger & bigger. 
I found this okay because it
was hard to put the right colours 
in the right place. 
Next time I will try to colour faster.
